We Actually Do Home Educate

The three readers of this blog have been very concerned about the education of my children. (Sorry Uncle Jerry, Mammaw, and Doug.) However, despite the inactivity here, we have been very active. I really, really want to document this journey. However, I may better be able to do it through quick blurbs and pictures rather than lengthy posts on a CM education.

That being said, allow me to SHOW you what our CM education has looked like since October. October?! It's really been that long?!

We make messes.

We love on our pets.

Lessons in infant care.

We play with Aunt Vickie.

We play in the snow, aka Nature Study.

We watch our siblings play in the snow.

We grow up too fast.

We work puzzles.

Copywork

We play in more snow with our purse.

We still watch our siblings.

We bathe our siblings.

We play with baby sheep.

We read to our babies.

We bust our heads...

And not cry once!

We play at the park with friends.

We officially learn to read!

We dress up!

We get a new kitten!

We play dress up more!

We attempt to wash our own hair.

We snuggle with Daddy.

We dump the scripture memory box for the 52nd time.

We kid sit for friends!

We go to the dentist for the first time!

We visit with far away grandparents!

We red books to our cat.

We love on our favorite uncle.

We ride pink horses.

We love on Rocky.

We climb in the dryer when Mommy's not looking with the new kitten.

We dance on the kitchen table.

We pilfer for food.

We shoot guns.

We are actually doing school!

Artist study

Story time!

We have hot chocolate and cookies.

Mommy and Daddy celebrate 10 years!

We snuggle with Mommy.

We have fun in December!

We read theology at an early age.

More love time!

We get our first hair cut.

Brothers!

We read good living books.
Now, hopefully with this new, easier method, I will update more often. Look for one coming soon! And I promise, they are learning! Remember what Charlotte Mason said, "In this time of extraordinary pressure, educational and social, perhaps a mothers first duty to her children is to secure for them a quiet growing time, a full six years of passive receptive life, the waking part of it spent for the most part out in the fresh air."
